An A6t to enable the Company of Proprietors of
the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal Navigation to raife
Money to difcharge their Debts, and to complete
the faid Canal. [23d May 1817.]
HEREAS an Aft was paffed in the. Thirty-third Year of the
Reign of His prefent Majefty, intituled An A ft for making

and
maintaining
a Navigable Canal from the Worcester and
Birmingham Canal Navigation, in the Parijh of King's Norton, into the
Borough of Stratford-upon-Avon, and
alfo
certain
Collateral
Cuts from the
faid intended Canal; whereby certain Perfons therein named, and their
Succeffors, Executors, Adminiftrators- and Affigns, together with fuch
Perfon or Perfons as they fhould nominate and appoint under their
Hands and Seals, were united into a Company for carrying on, making,
completing, and maintaining the faid Navigable Canal and Collateral
Cuts pafiable for Boats, Barges, and other VeiTels, and were incorpo-
rated by the Name of The Company of Proprietors of the Stratford-
upon-Avon Canal Navigation, and by that Name were to have perpe-
tual Succeffion, and a Common Seal, with fuch Powers as in the faid
Aft are mentioned j and the faid Company of Proprietors were au-
thorized and empowered to raife and contribute among themfelves, in
