REPRESENTATION OF THE PEOPLE

The Representation of the People (Scotland) (Amendment) Regulations 2001

Made 3rd May 2001

Coming into force in accordance with article 1(1)

Whereas a draft of these Regulations has been approved by resolution of each House of Parliament;

And whereas the Secretary of State has, in accordance with section 7(1) and (2)(e) of the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 20001consulted the Electoral Commission about these Regulations;

Now, therefore, the Secretary of State in exercise of the powers conferred on her by the provisions which are specified in the Schedule to these Regulations, and of all other powers enabling her in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Representation of the People (Scotland) (Amendment) Regulations 2001 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which they are made.

(2) These Regulations shall extend to Scotland only.
