Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by sections 4, 5, 6 and 16(2) of the Consular Relations Act 19681, or otherwise in Her Majesty vested, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:–

S-1 This Order may be cited as the Consular Relations (Merchant...

1. This Order may be cited as the Consular Relations (Merchant Shipping) (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) (Revocation) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 6th May 1999.

2. The Consular Relations (Merchant Shipping) (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) Order 19702is hereby revoked.

This Order revokes the Consular Relations (Merchant Shipping) (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) Order 1970, which gave effect to the relevant provisions of the Treaty on Merchant Navigation between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics signed at London on 3rd April 1968 (Cmnd. 5008). The Order comes into force on 6th May 1999.
