authorized by the said first-mentioned Act, it was amongst other
things enacted, that
so
much
of
the said first-recited Act as required
the said Company
to
raise the said Capital
or
Joint Stock of Three
hundred and seventy thousand Pounds should be repealed, and that
in lieu
of
the said
Sum
of Three hundred and seventy thousand
Pounds it should
be
lawful for the said Company to raise among
themselves the
Sum
of
Three hundred and thirty-five thousand

of
the Capital actually subscribed
:
And whereas the said

it has been found that the Money which the said Company are
so
authorized to raise will
not
be sufficient to complete all the Works

and it
is
therefore expedient that the said Company should be
empowered to raise
a
further Sum
of
Money, and that some
of
the
Powers and Provisions contained in the said recited Acts should be
altered, amended, and enlarged: And whereas the Approach or

in
the
West Riding
of
the County
of

is incon-
venient, and
it
is desirable that the same

improved: And whereas Part
of
a certain Highway leading from
Tadcaster
to
Selby,
both in the said Riding, which
is
in the Parish
of'
Kirby

aforesaid, might be diverted and shortened, and
such Part
of
the said Road, when
so
diverted and shortened, will be
a
public Convenience: May it therefore please Your Majesty that
it
may be enacted; and be it enacted by the Queen's most Excellent
Majesty, by and with the Advice and Consent
of'
the Lords Spiritual
and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled,
Extendiog
and by the Authority of
the
same, That all Provisions, Matters, and
Powersof
Things contained in the said recited Acts or either
of

so
far as any of them
are by this Act repealed, altered,
