An Act for vesting certain Parts of the Lands and
Barony of Hatton, comprised in a Deed of En-
tail made by the Trustees of William Davidson
Esquire, deceased, in Trustees to sell the same,
and to apply the Purchase Money arising bv
such Sale in the Acquisition of other Estates to
be settled upon the same Series of Heirs, and
under the Conditions and Limitations contained
in the said Deed of Entail; for granting1 Power
to feu certain other Lands comprised in the said
Deed of Entail, and certain Parts of the Lands
and Barony of Muirhouse, which were entailed
by the said William Davidson. [22d June 18*25.]
THEREAS William Davidson of Muirhouse in the County Entail of
\/\/ of Edinburgh, Esquire, since deceased, in and by a Estate of

of Entail executed by him, bearing Date the Twenty-third Day William
of June in the Year One thousand seven hundred and seventy- Davidson
nine,
and duly recorded in the Register of Tailzies kept at Edin- 23d June
burgh the Eleventh Day of March, and in the Books of Council and 1779'
Session the Thirteenth Day of August, both in the Year One thousand
seven hundred and ninety-five, settled and secured in the way of
strict Entail, according to the Forms of the Law of Scotland, all
and whole the Lands, Barony, and Estate of Muirhouse, lying in the

Place
thereof,
and whole Parts, Pendicles, and Pertinents what-
soever of or belonging to the said Lands and Barony, i& and in
favour of himself the said William Davidson, and the, Heirs Male
of his Body; whom failing, to the Heirs Female of His Body;
whom failing, to his Nephew Sir John Elliott Baroriet* Snd the
Heirs Male of his Body; whom failing, to the Heirs Female of his
Body; whom failing, to Mr. Thomas Randall One of the Ministers of
Edinburgh, his Nephew, and the Heirs Male of his Body; whom
failing, to the Heirs Female of
his
Body; whom failing, to his Niece
Janet Randall, Sister of the said Mr. Thomas Randall, and the Heirs
Male of her Body ; whom failing, to the Heirs Female of her Body ;
whom failing, to such other Person or Persons as he the said William
Davidson might thereafter nominate and appoint by Writing under
his Hand; and failing of such Nomination and Appointment, to his the
said William Davidson's nearest Heirs and Assignees whatsoever, with
and under the express Provisions, Reservations, Conditions, De-
clarations, Restrictions, Limitations, Clauses irritant and resolutive,
and Powers and Faculties therein contained, forming a strict Entail
according to the Law of Scotland: And whereas the said William
Davidson, in virtue of the Powers reserved to him by the said Deed

tail executed thousand seven hundred and ninety-three, execute an additional
by William Obligation relative to the said Entail, whereby he imposed certain
Burdens and Obligations on the said Heirs of Entail of his said
Lands, Barony, and Estate of Muirhouse, which additional Obliga-
tion is also recorded in the said Register of Tailzies upon the said
Eleventh Day of March, and in the Books of Council and Session
the said Thirteenth Day of August, both in the Year One thousand
seven hundred and ninety-five: And whereas the said William
Davidson, by Deed of Trust executed by him, dated the Twenty-
second Day of March, and registered in the Books of Council and
Session (Office, H. S.) the Second Day of
October,
both in the Year
of One thousand seven hundred and ninety-four, on the Recital
that by his last Will and Testament he had directed his Exe-
cutors therein named to pay over the whole free Residue of his
Personal Estate and Effects to Gilbert Meason of the City of
Edinburgh, Esquire, and John Tait of the same Place, Esquire,
Writer to the Signet, or the Survivor of them or their Heirs,
in Trust that they the said Gilbert Meason and John Tait,
and the Survivor of them or their Heirs, should immediately
thereupon lay out and invest the net Money that they or he
should from Time to Time so receive, in the Purchase or Purchases of
Lands in that Part of Great Britain called Scotland; and as soon
as such Purchase or Purchases should be made, to settle and convey
the Lands so purchased by Entail, as particularly directed by the
Trust Deed now in recital; and that the Intention of his the saM
William Davidson's creating the said Trust was, that the Lands to be
purchased with the Money to be so received by the said Gilbert Mtasm
and John Tait, or the Survivor of them or their Heirs, should be settled
by them by Entail in the same Terms which he had settled his said
Lands, Barony, and Estate of Muirhouse, by the said Bond of Tailzie
executed by him of Date the said Twenty-third Day of June m the
