30.
An Act for dividing, allotting, and inclosing the
Commons and Waste Lands in the Parish of
Walsoken, in the County of Norfolk.
[8th July 1820.]
W
HEREAS there are within the Parish of
Walsoken
in the
County of Norfolk, several Commons, Droves, Banks, and
Waste Lands, containing One hundred and fifty Acres,
or thereabouts: And whereas the King's most Excellent Majesty, in
Right of his Crown,
is
Lord of the Manor of
West Walton cum
Membris,
on the Part of
Walsoken,
and Sir Martin
Browne Folkes
Baronet is
Tenant under His said Majesty; Henry Hare
Totvnsend
Esquire
is
Lord of the Manor of West
Walton
Colerane,
on the Part of Wal-
soken
;
William Walcot
Esquire is Lord of the Manor of
Walsoken
Popenhoe; and
Charles Metcalfe
Gentleman is Lord of the several
Manors of
Walsoken,
formerly
Potters,
since
Stones,
and now Met-
calfe,
and
Hagbech,
on the Part of
Walsoken:
And whereas His said
Majesty and the said Henry Hare
Toivnsend,
William
Walcot,
and
Charles
Metcalfe,
or some of them, claim, or one of them elaimeth
to be entitled to the Soil of the said Commons, Droves, Banks, and
Waste Lands in the said Parish of
Walsoken:
And whereas the
Reverend Marmaduke Alington Clerk is Rector of the Rectory of
the Parish and Parish Church of
Walsoken
aforesaid: And whereas
the said Sir Martin Browne Folkes, William Walcot, Sigismund

Trqffbrd Southwell Esquire, James Bellamy Esquire, Robert fPing,
Stephen Sharp, John Murky, and James Moss, and others, Proprietors
of Commonable Messuages and Toftsteads, are entitled to Rights of
Common on the said Commons, Droves, Banks, and Waste Lands:
And whereas an Act was passed in the Forty-first Year of the Reign
41G.3.C.109. of His late Majesty, intituled An Act for
consolidating
in
one
Act certain
Provisions usually
inserted
in Acts of
Inclosure,
and for facilitating
ihet
Mode of proving
the
several Facts usually
required
on
the passing of suck,
Acts: And whereas it would be of Advantage to the several Persons
interested in the said Commons, Droves, Banks, and Waste Lands, if
the same were divided and inclosed, and specific Allotments made to
the several Proprietors according to their respective Estates and In-
terests therein; but such Purpose cannot be effected without the Aid
and Authority of Parliament: May it therefore please Your Majesty
that it may be enacted; and be it enacted by the King's most
Excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice and Consent of the
Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parlia*.
Appointment ment assembled, and by the Authority of the same, That Robert

successor
from
Time to Time to be elected in Manner herein-
after mentioned, shall be, and he is hereby appointed Commissioner
for carrying the Purposes of the said recited Act and of this Act into
Execution, in such Manner and subject to such Rules, Orders, and
Regulations, as are herein-after mentioned, and subject to the'
Rules,
Orders, Directions, Authorities, Regulations, Restrictions,
and Provisions contained in the said recited Act, which shall be
applied, deemed, and taken as Part of this Act, except in such Case*
only as the same are hereby varied or altered.
Appoinment II. And be it further enacted, That in case the said Robert M'd-
of future Imgton shall, before the Completion of the Division, Inclosure, and
Commission- Allotment of the said Commons, Droves, Banks, and Waste Lands,
and of his Award, die, or refuse or neglect to act, or become in-
capable of acting in the Execution of this Act, it shall be lawful fijl
the major Part in value of the Proprietors or Persons interested in the
said Commons, Droves, Banks, and Waste Lands (such Value to be as-
certained by the Poor Rate Assessment), or for their Agents or Attor.
nies respectively, who shall be present at a Meeting to be held for
that Purpose at some Place in the Parish of Walsoken aforesaid, in
pursuance of Notice to be advertized by any Two or more of the
said Proprietors, in some Newspaper circulated in the said County
of Norfolk, and also to be affixed on the principal outer Door of the
Parish Church of Walsoken aforesaid, at least Fourteen Days before
such Meeting, to elect and appoint another Commissioner, not in-
terested in the said Division and Allotment, in the Place of the said
Robert MtlUngton; and in like Manner from Time to Time, when and
so often as any such future Commissioner shall happen to die, or re^
fuse or neglect to act, or become incapable of acting, to elect and ap-
point another Commissioner in the Place of such future Commis-
sioner
;
and every such Commissioner to be so appointed (having
first taken the Oath prescribed in that Behalf) shall have the like-
