And whereas the Trustees appointed in
or
by virtue
of
the* said seyeralr+cts proceeded to put the same into Execution, and

said Acts authorized to be collected upon the said Road, for repair-
ing
and widening the same, which still remain due and owing, and
the subsisting Term
of
the said several Acts is near expiring

whereas the said
Road
cannot be sufficiently amended,
widened;

proved, and kept in Repair, nor can the Money
so
borrowed be repaid
or
the Interest thereon be discharged, unless the Term and Powers
of
the said several Acts are enlarged, and the
Tolls
increased
:
And
whereas
It
would facilitate the Execution of the Purposes aforesaid
if
the said Acts were repealed,
and
if
such of

Powers
and
Pro-
visions
of
the said several Acts relating to the said Road,
as
shall be
qitinued ,or amended, 'Were corisolidated and comprised
in

shall be lawful for the said

Trustees, or any Seven or more of them, and they are hereby autho-

riqed and empowered, at any of their Meetings
to
be holden in pur-
suance of this Act,
to
elect any additional Number of
fit
and proper
Persons, residing within the County of
York,
not exceeding Ten in
the whole, to be Trustees for the Purposes of this Act; and such
Trustees
so
elected, and being duly qualified as herein-after mentioned,
shall
be
and
are
hereby invested with the same Powers and Authorities
for executing
this
Act, as ifthey had been herein named.
IV.
And
be
it
further enacted, That when and
so
often as any
of

Death
or
the Trustees hereby named or
appointed,
(except
the
Justices
of
the
Refusaltu.w
