Railway:
And whereas the Railway
by
the said recited Acts autho-
rized to be made has been completed and opened to the Public
as
far as the Town
of
Asitford
in
the County
of
Kent,
and
the
Remainder
of the said Railway between the Towns
of
AsJZford
and
Dover
is
nearly completed, and the opening thereof to the Public is expected
to take place
in
the present Year
:
And whereas it would be attended
with great local and public Advantage if
a
Branch Railway were
made f'rom
the
said Railway leading to the Town of
Maidstone
in
the
said County
of'
Kent,
and the said Company are willing to niake the
said Branch
Railway:
May it therefore please Your Majesty that it
may be enacted
;
and be it enacted by the Queen's most Excellent
Majesty, by and with the Advice and Consent
of'
the Lords Spiritual
and Temporal, and Commons,
in
this present Parliament assetnbletf,
Power
to

of
the same, That, subject to the Conditions
Railway.
and Restrictions
in
the said recited Acts and this Act contained, it
shall be lawful for the
South-eastern
Railway Company
to
make and
maintain the said Branch Railway, with all proper Works and
Conveniences connected therewith,
in
the Line or Course and
upon
or
through the Lands delineated
on
the Plan and described
in
the Book
of
Reference herein-after mentioned, comniencing by
a
Junction with the
South-eastern
Railway in or near
a
Field
in
the
Parish of
Brenclrley
in
the County of
Kent,
numbered
21
on the Plan
of
the same Railway deposited
with
the Clerk
of'
the Peace for the
County
of'
Kent,
and passing tlicnce tlirough or into the several
Parishes, Townships, Townlands, and Extra.parocliia1 or other Places
of
Brenchley, East Peclcham,
Yalding,
Nettlested, lthteri?igbztry,
Teston, West Bnrming
otherwise
Barnjet, West Farleigh, East
Fm-
kigh,

and
hlaidstone,
in the said County of
Kent,
and
terminating at
Maidstone
at or near
a
Field near to
Maidstone

and for such Purposes to enter upon, take,
and
use
such
of
the Lands delineated or described as aforesaid

shall
be necessary for making the said Branch Railway and Works
;
and
the
same, when made, shall be Part
of
the Undertaking of the said
South-
eastsrn
Railway, and as such subject
to
the Provisions relating thereto
which are herein-afier referred
to.
Extending
XI.
And be
it
enacted, That all the Provisions, Matters,

Things contained in the said recited Acts relating to the
South-
eastern
Railway, or which may be contained
in
any Act relating to
the
Soulh-eastern
Railway which
may
be passed in the present Session
of Parliament,
so
fhr
as
the same are now unrepealed and
in
force,
or
would be
in
force but for Effluxion
of'
Time only, and except
such
of
them as are by tliis Act repealed
or
altered, shall extend to
this Act, and
to
the Branch Railway
and
Works hereby authorized
to be made, and to the several Purposes and 'lhings hereby autho-
rized to be done, as
fully
and effectually as though the same Pro-
visions, Matters, and Things were repeated and re-enacted in this
Act
