An Act for making certain Roads and Branches
connected with the new Bridge now erecting
over the River Dove near the Village of Rocester
Turnpike, with proper Deviations, Works, and
Conveniences, and new Pieces of Road connected
therewith, and Approaches thereto, in the
Comities of Derby and Stafford.

HEREAS a Bridge is now erecting over the River Dove
under the Authority of an Act of Parliament made and
passed in the First and Second Years of the Reign of Her
present Majesty, intituled An Act for building a Bridge over the

Vict.
River Dove at Rocester in the County of Stafford, which Bridge will c.65.
be soon completed and opened for public Use : And whereas it will
be of great public Advantage to render a more perfect Communica-
tion over the said Bridge between certain Places in the Counties of
Stafford and Derby, on both Sides of the said Bridge, by means of
good Turnpike Roads ; but as the same cannot be effected without the
Authority of Parliament, May it therefore please Your Majesty that
it may be enacted ; and be it enacted by the Queen's most Excellent
