HEREAS
the making and maintaining
a
new Turnpike
Road, leading out
of
the
Alston
Turnpike Road at or near
a
Place called
Branch End
in the County
of
Northumber-
lund,
passing through
Catton, Allendale Town,
and
Allenheads,
in the
said County
of'
Northumberland,
and terminating at
a
Place called
Cows
Hill
in the County
of Durham,
where the same joins the
Lobley
Hill
otherwise
Walsingham
Turnpike Road, and which said Road
passes through or into the several Townships of
Langley, Catton,
Allendale Town,
the Park and the Forest, and the several Parishes
of
Warden
and
Allendale,
all in
the
said County
of
Northumberland,
and also into
or
through the Township
or
Division
of
the Forest
and Parish of
Stanhope
in the said County
of
Durham
;
and also the
making and maintaining
a
Branch Road to lead out
of
the said
intended Turnpike Road, at or near the Village

Smelt Mills,
