An A& for inclofing Lands within the Manor of
Rampijham, in the Farifhes of Rampijham and Weft
Chelboroughy
in the County of Dorfet.

HEREAS there are within the Manor of
Rampijham,
in the
feveral Parifhes of
Rampijham
and Weft
Chelborough,
in the
County of
Dorfet,
certain Commons and Wafte Lands, con-
taining together about Eight hundred Acres: And whereas the Right
Honourable
Henry Staivell
Bilfon Legge Lord
Sfaweit,
and
John Daniell
Efquire, are Lords of the faid Manor, and as fuch entitled to the Soil of
the faid Commons and Wafte Lands: And whereas the faid Lord Stawell,
John
Daniell,
and others, are the Proprietors of divers Lands, Tenements*
and Hereditaments within the faid Manor, in refpedt whereof they are en-
titled to Common of Pafture in, over, and upon the fame Commons and
Wafte Lands : And whereas the faid Lord Staweli, and
William
Bentham
and
George
Kinderky, of
Lincoln's
Inn, in the County of
Middle/ex,
Ef»
quires, are Patrons of the Rectory of the faid Parifli of
Rampijham
with
Wraxall
annexed : And whereas the Reverend
William Pace
is Reftor or
Parfon of theParifti Church of
Rampijham
aforefaid, with
Wraxall
annexed,
and as fuch is entitled to the Great and Small Tythes, or fome Modus,
Compofition Real, or Prefcriptive Payment, in lieu
thereof,
yearly arifing
and renewing from and out of the fame Commons and Wafte Lands:
And whereas the faid Commons and Wafte Lands are in their prefent State
and Condition incapable of any material Improvement, and the feveral
Perfons interefted in the faid Commons and Wafte Lands as aforefaid are

defirous that the fame fhould be divided and inclofed, and fpecific Parts
thereof allotted to them refpectively^ in Proportion to their refpective
Rights and Interefts therein, but fuch Objects cannot be attained without
the Aid and Authority of Parliament: May it.therefore .pleafe Your Ma-
jefty that it may be enacted ; "and be it enacted by the King's" moft Ex-
cellent Majefty, by and with the Advice arid Content, of the Lords Spiritual
and Temporal, and Commons, in this pfefent X^arliaTtfeht sflerhbled, and
Commiffion- by the Authority of the fame, That George Barnes of' Andbver, in the
ers* County of Southampton, Surveyor, John Edye of the Parffh of Lyme Regis,
in the County of Dorfet and Axmouth, in the County of Devon, Gentleman,
and William Jennings of Ever/hot, in the County of Dorfet, Surveyor, (hall
be and they are 'hereby jappointgd-Gommiflioners. for dividing, allotting,
and inclofing the faid Commons* and Wafte Lands, and for carrying this
Act into Execution, in the Manner and under and fubject to the feveral
Powers, Authorities, Directions, and Provifions herein-after expreffed and
con;tai'ned,""and;affo;>fubjecT: to'fuch other Powers, Authorities, Directions,
arid P^ro|ifiohs:'a& are exprefied; aftd: contained in a certain Act of Parlia-
ment paffed in the Forty-firft Year of the Reign of His prefent Majefty,
intituled An Ac! for consolidating in one Acl certain Provifions uftally in-
fertedin Ails oflnclofure, and for facilitating the Mode of proving the feveral
Bails ufually required-on the faffing offuch Acls, .fo far as the fame laft-
mentioned Powers, Authorities, Directions, and Provifions, or any of
them, are not altered, varied, or otherwife provided for by this Acl.
Appointment II. And be it further enacted, That if the faid William Jennings, or any
of future Perfon to be hereafter appointed by the Rector of the Parifh of Rampifham

lon" to be a Commiffioner,. fhall die, or fha.Il refufe,:neglect, or become inca-
pable to act, then and in every fuch Cafe, and immediately upon or after
and fo often as the fame 'fhall happen, the Rector of the faid Parilh of
Rampifham for the Time being fhall and may, by Writing under his Hand,
from Time to Time nominate and appoint fome other indifferent and
proper Perfon in the room or flead of the faid Commiffioner fo dying, re-
iufing, neglecting, or becoming incapable to act as aforefaid ; and if the
faid George Barnes and John Edye, or any other Perfon or Perfons to be
appointed Commiffioners under this Act, fhall die, or fhall refufe, neglect,
Or become incapable to act, then and in any and every fuch Cafe, and im-
mediately upon or after, and fo often as the fame.fhall happen, the major
Part in Value of the feveral Perfons interefted in the faid Commons and
Wafte Lands, (fuch Value to be afcertained and determined by Reference
to the Land Tax Rate, made next preceding the Time of Choice, for the
Parifh of Rampifham aforefaid), attending in Perfon,^or by Agent appointed,
in Writing, at a Meeting to be called for that Purpofe, fhall and may, by
Writing under their Hands, from Time to Time nominate and appoint
fome other fit and proper Perfon (not interefted in the faid Inclofure), in
. the room or ftead of fuch Commiffioner ; and every Commiffioner ap-
pointed inaManner aforefaid fhall have and become inverted with all and
every fuch Power and Powers, Authority and Authorities, as the faid George
Barnes, John Edye, and William Jennings, or the Commiflioners in whofe
room or ftead they qr he, fhall have been fo appointed, as fully and effec-
tually, to all Intents and Purpofes, as if the Commiffioner fo appointed
. had been named a Commiffioner in this Act.
