The National Rivers Authority (Severn-Trent and Anglian Regional Flood Defence Committees Areas) (Boundaries) Order 1994

Laid before Parliament 7th February 1994

Coming into force 1st April 1994

Whereas the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Secretary of State for Wales (“the Ministers”):—

have consulted such persons or representative bodies as they consider appropriate to consult in accordance with paragraph 2(1)(a) of Schedule 3 to the Water Resources Act 1991 (“the 1991 Act”)1;

have published a notice in accordance with paragraph 2(1)(c) of Schedule 3 to the 1991 Act;

have caused copies of the said notice and of a draft of the following Order to be served in accordance with paragraph 2(3) of Schedule 3 to the 1991 Act;

Now therefore the Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by paragraph 1(1) and (3) of Schedule 3 to the 1991 Act and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:—

S-1 Title and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the National Rivers Authority (Severn-Trent and Anglian Regional Flood Defence Committees Areas) (Boundaries) Order 1994 and shall come into force on 1st April 1994.

S-2 Interpretation

Interpretation

2. In this Order “the map” means the map marked “map referred to in the National Rivers Authority (Severn-Trent and Anglian Regional Flood Defence Committees Areas) (Boundaries) Order 1994”.

S-3 Alteration of boundaries

Alteration of boundaries

3.—(1) The boundaries of the area of the Severn-Trent Regional Flood Defence Committee shall be altered so as to exclude from that area all those lands within the Parishes of Hardwick, Thorney and Wigsley which are shown coloured red on map.

(2) The boundaries of the area of the Anglian Regional Flood Defence Committee shall be altered so as to add to that area all those lands within the Parishes of Hardwick, Thorney and Wigsley which are shown coloured red on the map.
