HEREAS under the provisions of the Local si &

Government Act 1888 the Minister of Health c. 41.
has made a provisional order which needs confirmation
by Parliament:
Be it therefore enacted by the King's most Excellent
Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the
Lords Spiritual and Temporal and Commons in this
present Parliament assembled and by the authority of
the same as follows:

The order of the Minister of Health which as Order in
amended is set out in the schedule to this Act is hereby schedule
confirmed and shall have full validity and force. confirmed.

COUNTIES OF BUCKINGHAM AND OXFORD.
Provisional Order made in pursuance of the Local
Government Act 1888 altering county boundaries.
WHEREAS by section 54 of the Local Government Act 1888
the Minister of Health is empowered to make a provisional order
for the alteration of the boundary of a county;
And whereas the parish of Kingsey forms part of the adminis-
trative county of Oxford and the rural district of Bullingdon
but is detached from the remainder of that rural district and the
parish of Towersey in the rural district of Long Crendon forms
part of the administrative county of Buckingham but is almost
detached from the remainder of that county;
And whereas a joint representation has been made to the
Minister of Health by the county councils of Buckingham and
Oxford that it is desirable that the boundaries of the counties
of Buckingham and Oxford should be altered so as to transfer
the parish of Kingsey to the county of Buckingham and (subject
to an adjustment of boundary) the parish of Towersey to the
county of Oxford:
Now therefore the Minister of Health in pursuance of the
powers given to him by section 54 of the Local Government Act
1888 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf hereby
orders as follows :
PART
I.
PRELIMINARY.
1.
This order may be cited as the Buckinghamshire and
Oxfordshire Order 1932.
2.
In this order unless the context otherwise requires
" county " means an administrative county;
" existing" means existing immediately before the
appointed day;
" the Act of 1888 " means the Local Government Act
1888;
" the appointed day " means the first day of April nineteen
hundred and thirty-three;
