1920.
Minister of Health relating to Leeds Torquay Wallasey
and the Saint Austell Joint Hospital District.

TT7HEREAS
the
Minister
of
Health
has
made
the Pro-

visional Orders
set
forth
in the
schedule hereto under
the
provisions
of the
Public Health
Act
1875:
38 &
39 Vict.
c. 55.
And whereas
it is
requisite that
the
said Orders should
be
confirmed
by
Parliament:
Be
it
therefore enacted
by the
King's most Excellent Majesty
by
and
with
the
advice
and
consent
of the
Lords Spiritual
and
Temporal
and
Commons
in
this present Parliament assembled
and
by the
authority
of the
same
as
follows:
1.
The
Orders
as
altered
and set out in the
schedule hereto Orders in
shall
be and the
same
are
hereby confirmed
and all the
sche'luie
provisions thereof shall have full validity
and
force.
2.
This
Act may be
cited
as the
Ministry
of
Health Short title.

A.D.1920. SCHEDULE.
CITY OF LEEDS.
leedt Odtr. Provisional Order for altering the Leeds Corporation
{Consolidation) Act 1905.
To the Lord Mayor Aldermen and Citizens of the City of
Leeds;
And to all others whom it may concern.
WHEREAS the City of Leeds (hereinafter referred to as "the City")
is an Urban Sanitary District of which the Lord Mayor Aldermen and
Citizens acting by the Council (hereinafter referred to as "the
Corporation") are the Urban Sanitary Authority and the unrepealed

c.i. provisions of the Leeds Corporation (Consolidation) Act 1905 (herein-
after referred to as " the Local Act") as altered by certain Provisional
Orders of the Local Government Board which were duly confirmed by
Parliament but which do not affect the subject-matter of this Order
are in force in the City;
And whereas by Section 118 of the Local Act the Corporation are
subject as provided in that section empowered from time to time to
demand and receive tolls rents stallages entrance fees and charges (not
exceeding the tolls rents stallages entrance fees and charges specified
in the Ninth Schedule to the Local Act) from persons selling or
offering or exposing for sale cattle corn meat or articles in any market
or fair of the Corporation or using or occupying shops stalls standings
or other conveniences in any such market or fair or frequenting any
such market or fair or using any weighing-house or place weights
measures scales or machines in any such market or fair or using any
slaughter-house or dead meat market of the Corporation;
And whereas the Corporation have made application to the Minister
of Health for the issue of a Provisional Order to alter or amend the
Local Act in the manner hereinafter set forth:
Now therefore the Minister of Health in pursuance of the powers

given to him by Section ,303 of the Public Health Act 1875 and of all
other powers enabling him in that behalf hereby orders that from and
after the date of the Act of Parliament confirming this Order the
Alteration of Local Act shall be altered by the substitution for the tolls rents
respect of stallages entrance fees and charges specified in the Ninth Schedule to
markets and the Local Act of the tolls rents stallages entrance fees and charges
houses 6r" specified in the Schedule to this Order.
Short title. And the Minister of Health further orders that this Order may be
cited as the Leeds Order 1920.
