CHAPTER cxxxi.
An Act to confirm certain Provisional Orders made by A.D. i%6.
the Board of Trade under the Gas and Water Works
Facilities Act 1870 relating to Bolsover and District
Water Great Grimsby Gas Great Grimsby Water Hoylake
and West Kirby Water Wath upon Dearne and District
Gas and Wollaston Gas. [4th August 1906.]

HEREAS under the authority of the Gas and Water Works
33&34
Vict.
Facilities Act 1870 the Board of Trade have made the c- 70-
Provisional Orders set out in the schedule to this Act annexed:
And whereas a Provisional Order made by the Board of
Trade under the authority of the said Act is not of any validity
or force whatever until the confirmation thereof by Act of
Parliament:
And whereas it is expedient that the Provisional Orders
made by the Board of Trade as aforesaid and set out in the
schedule to this Act be confirmed by Act of Parliament:
Be it therefore enacted by the King's most Excellent Majesty
by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and
Temporal and Commons in this present Parliament assembled
and by the authority of the same as follows:
1.
This Act may be cited as the Gas and Water Orders Short title.
Confirmation Act 1906.
2.
The Orders as amended and set out in the schedule to Confirmation
this Act shall be and the same are hereby confirmed and all scheduie.
the provisions thereof in manner and form as they are set out
in the said schedule shall from and after the passing of this
Act have full validity and effect.

SCHEDULE.
LIST OF ORDERS.
BOLSOVER AND DISTRICT WATER.—Order empowering the Bolsover and
District Water Company Limited to raise additional capital for the pur-
poses of their undertaking and to amend the scale of rates and charges
prescribed by the Bolsover and District Water Order 1903.
GREAT GRIMSBY GAS.—Order empowering the Great Grimsby Gas
Company to extend their limits of supply and for other purposes.
GREAT GRIMSBY WATER.—Order empowering the Great Grimsby Water-
works Company Limited to extend their area of supply and for other
purposes.
HOYLAKE AND WEST KIRBY WATER.—Order empowering the Hoylake
and West Kirby Gas and Water Company Limited to construct additional
waterworks and to raise additional capital for the purposes of their water
undertaking.
WATH UPON DEARNTE AND DISTRICT GAS.—Order empowering the Wath
upon Dearne and District Gas Company Limited to raise additional
capital and to acquire additional land.
WOLLASTON GAS.—Order empowering the Wollaston Gas Coal and Coke
Company Limited to maintain continue and improve their existing gas-
works and to manufacture and supply gas within part of the parish of
Wollaston and in the parishes of Strixton and Bozeat in the county of
Northampton and for other purposes.

BOLSOVER AND DISTRICT WATER. A.D. i9oe.
Order empowering the Bohover and District Water Company Bohover and
Limited to raise Additional Capital for the purposes of their Butriot-
undertaking and to amend the Scale of Rates and Charges
prescribed by the Bohover and District Water Order 1903.
1.
This Order may be cited as the Bolsover and District Water Order Short title.
1906.
2.
This Order shall come into force and have effect upon the day when Commence-
the Act confirming this Order is passed which date is in this Order referred ment of 0rder-
to as "the commencement of this Order."
3.
The Bolsover and District Water Order 1903 (in this Order Construction
referred to as " the Order of 1903 ") as amended by this Order and this of 0rder-
Order shall be construed together except so far as such construction would
be inconsistent with or repugnant to the provisions of this Order.
4.
The provisions of the Waterworks Clauses Acts 1847 and 1863 Incorporation.
are except where expressly varied by the Order of 1903 or this Order
hereby incorporated with and form part of this Order.
5.
The several words terms and expressions to which by any Act in Interpretation.
whole or in part incorporated with this Order and by the Gas and Water
Works Facilities Act 1870 meanings are assigned have in this Order the
same respective meanings.
Undertakers.
6. The Bolsover and District Water Company Limited shall be the Undertakers.
Undertakers for the purposes of this Order and are in this Order referred
to as "the Undertakers."
Rates and Charges.
7.
As from the first quarter day after the commencement of this Order Bates at which
section 19 of the Order of 1903 shall be amended and the rates at which

the Undertakers may be required thereunder to furnish a supply of water domestic pur-
for domestic purposes to a dwelling-house or part of a dwelling-house
situate hi the urban district of Bolsover are hereby increased by an amount
not exceeding twenty per centum of the rates in the said section specified
and the said section shall be read and construed accordingly Provided
that in calculating the amount of the rates and charges payable under
this section a fraction of a penny shall be charged as a penny.
