An Act for dissolving the Corporation of the
Governor and Company of Undertakers for
raising Thames Water in York Buildings ; and for
vesting the Property of the Company in Trustees,
to sell and divide the Proceeds amongst the Stock-
holders of the Company. [19th June 1829.]
W
HEREAS by an Act of Parliament made and passed in the
Second andThirdYear of the Reign of Their late MajestiesKing
William
and Queen Mary, intituled An Act for
incorporating
the 2&3W.&M.
Proprietors
of the
Waterworks in
York Buildings,
and
for the
encouraging^
carrying on, and settling the said Waterworks, the said Proprietors
were incorporated by the Name of " The Governor and Company of
Undertakers for raising the
Thames
Water in Tork
Buildings
;" and the
said Governor and Company were enabled to have, purchase, and enjoy
Lands, Tenements, and Hereditaments, Goods and Chattels, to them and
their Successors, and to give, grant, demise, alien, and dispose of their
Lands, Tenements, Hereditaments, Goods or Chattels, and to do and
execute all other things by their Name of Incorporation that to them
should appertain, and to use a Common Seal; and a Governor and Six of
the said Company, who should be called Assistants of the said Company,
to be elected in manner therein mentioned, were thereby invested with
the Direction and Management of the Waterworks, and of all Business
and Affairs belonging to the said Company: And whereas the said
