I, William Allen Viscount Jowitt, Lord High Chancellor of Great Britain, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 2 of the County Courts Act, 1934(a) and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby order as follows:—
1.—(1) The district of every county court mentioned in the first column of the First Schedule hereto shall consist of the civil parishes or parts of civil parishes mentioned in the third column of the said schedule opposite the name of that court.
(2) The district of every county court mentioned in the first column of the Second Schedule hereto shall consist of the area described in the second column of the said schedule opposite the name of that court.
(3) References in the said First and Second Schedules to any borough, urban or rural district, or civil parish are references to that borough, urban or rural district, or civil parish as constituted on the first day of October, 1949.
2.—(1) The County Courts (Districts) Order in Council, 1899(b), so far as unrevoked, and the County Court Districts Order, 1938(c), and all Orders amending the same, are hereby revoked.
(2) This Order may be cited as the County Court Districts Order, 1949, and shall come into operation on the first day of December, 1949.
