An Act to repeal the Act for maintaining the Turn*
pike Road leading out of the Alston Turnpike
Road at Branch End m the County of Northumber-
land,
through Cation, Allendale Town, and Allen-
heads, to
Cows
Hill in the County of Durham, and
to make other Provisions in lieu
thereof.
[28th June 1853.]
HEREAS an Act was passed in the, Seventh Year of the
IJeign of His Majesty King George the Fourth, intituled
An Act for making and maintaining a Turnpike Road 7

to Cows Hill in the County of Durham, with several Branches there-
from:
And whereas the Powers granted by the said Act, and con-
tinued from Time to Time by virtue of divers Acts of Parliament for
continuing certain Turnpike Roads, will expire, on the First Day of
November One thousand eight hundred and fifty-three, unless the same
be in the meantime further continued ; And whereas considerable
