Public HealthMade8 th March 2011Coming into force1 st April 2011The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 Z7 of the National Health (Scotland) Act 1978(1) and all other powers enabling them to do so.In accordance with section 10 Z7(4) they have consulted such persons or groups of persons as they consider appropriate.In accordance with section 104(2) of that Act a draft of the instrument has been laid before, and approved by resolution of the Scottish Parliament.Citation, commencement and interpretation1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Healthcare Improvement Scotland (Requirements as to Independent Health Care Services) Regulations 2011 and come into force on 1 st April 2011.(2) In these Regulations—“the Act” means the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978;“adult” means any person who is not a child;“children” means persons under the age of 18 and “child” is to be construed accord...See the full content of this document
