Appropriation Act 2008

An Act to authorise the use of resources for the service of the years ending with 31 st March 2007 and 31 st March 2008 and to apply certain sums out of the Consolidated Fund to the service of the year ending with 31 st March 2008; and to appropriate the supply authorised in this Session of Parliament for the service of the years ending with 31 st March 2007 and 31 st March 2008.

Whereas the Commons of the United Kingdom in Parliament assembled have resolved to authorise the use of resources and the issue of sums out of the Consolidated Fund towards making good the supply which they have granted to Her Majesty in this Session of Parliament: —

Be it therefore enacted by the Queen’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: —

1 Use of resources for the year that ended with 31 st March 2007

The use of resources for the service of the year that ended with 31 st March 2007 is authorised to the amount of £38 ,611 ,000.

2 Use of resources for the year ending with 31 st March 2008

The use of resources for the service of the year ending with 31 st March 2008 is authorised to the amount of £16 ,257 ,130 ,000.

3 Issue out of the Consolidated Fund for the year ending with 31 st March 2008

The Treasury may issue out of the Consolidated Fund of the United Kingdom and apply to the service of the year ending with 31 st March 2008 the sum of £7 ,563 ,896 ,000.

4 Appropriation of amounts and sums voted for supply services and limits on appropriations in aid

(1) All the amounts and sums authorised by this Act and the other Act mentioned in Schedule 1 to this Act, for the service of the year that ended with 31 st March 2007 and of the year ending with 31 st March 2008 ,...
